Founded by Leisa Roberts in 2010, Brow Spa has become one of Chester’s most recognised luxury beauty brands, building a reputation for exceptional brow, skin, spa and semi-permanent make-up services. With a five-star rating on Treatwell from nearly 1,000 reviews and the title of Brow Salon of the Year (2023/24), the brand counts celebrities, high-net-worth individuals and urban professionals among its loyal client base.
Leisa is a nationally recognised industry judge and award-winning beauty artist — qualities that have helped position Brow Spa not just as a local success story, but as a brand with genuine national appeal.
The Opportunity
Harrods’ H Beauty concept — a luxury beauty retail experience being expanded from the London flagship into regional destinations including Chester, Edinburgh and Glasgow — identified Brow Spa as its preferred treatment partner for the new Chester store on Eastgate Street.
The partnership represented a significant step change: a joint venture that would place Brow Spa inside a state-of-the-art, Harrods-branded environment, with access to the H Beauty CRM platform, national marketing infrastructure and an online product listing that unlocks national reach for the brand’s own product range.
To bring the opportunity to life, Brow Spa required investment to fund the relocation and fit-out of the flagship concession. River Capital, acting as manager of the North West Business Growth Loan Fund, provided a six-figure loan to make it happen.
The Investment
River Capital provided a six-figure loan through the North West Business Growth Loan Fund, supporting the relocation and full fit-out of Brow Spa’s new concession within H Beauty. The new space — branded as Brow Spa x H Beauty — opened in February 2026, marking the brand’s most significant milestone since its founding.
Beyond financial support, the Harrods joint venture gives Brow Spa access to one of the world’s most powerful luxury retail platforms, including its CRM infrastructure, marketing channels and national e-commerce presence.
The investment is expected to create 10 new jobs over the life of the loan, with seven existing positions safeguarded.
