Summary

In 2025, River Capital announced a six figure loan via  NPIF II – River Capital & GC Business Finance Smaller Loans, to support the expansion of Bam Boo Brunch, enabling the opening of its second brunch and cocktails location in South Liverpool.

Led by directors Samuel Patterson, Lauren Wright, Lloyd King and Jamine Ungar, the NPIF II funding has supported refurbishment works and fit out costs for the new venue. This represents a significant expansion for the successful brunch and cocktail concept that has a created a dedicated following at its original Bold Street location.

Located on the vibrant Lark Lane, the new location has 90 covers across indoor and outdoor seating areas, compared to 60 covers at the existing venue and is expected to create 15 full time equivalent positions across management, kitchen, bar, and front of house roles.

Having built a significant social media presence with 29,000 Instagram followers, creating consistent customer demand that regularly results in queues outside the Bold Street venue the need for this new venue was imperative to the brand’s growth.

“The directors have successfully established a profitable brunch and cocktail concept that resonates strongly with Liverpool’s dining market. Their commitment to funding over half the project costs from existing business profits demonstrates their confidence in the expansion, while their established supplier relationships and operational systems provide a solid foundation for growth.”
