Summary
Surface Transforms develop and manufacture carbon ceramic brake discs for high performance vehicles. The business has continued to install additional production facilities and further increase capacity to meet ongoing growth in demand for its products. Staff numbers have already grown to around 80 people, with over 30 new recruits during 2021 and further recruitment is planned to complement the expansion.

What is my role?
I am an Investment Manager in our Debt team, who works with business owners and advisors to identify funding needs for a business and then deliver the most suitable solutions for that business. I am currently managing all enquiries and applications for the Flexible Growth Fund which is a debt fund aimed at supporting LCR businesses with transformational Capital Expenditure projects.

What is my role?
I provide operational leadership and performance management to the Debt Team to drive new investment opportunities for funds under management. I also lead the investment process including appraising larger loan and mezzanine applications, presenting to the Investment Committee and subsequent monitoring of performance.
Hobbies or interests outside of work?
- Football as a spectator (season tickets at LFC and Wigan Athletic)
- Treasurer of Wigan & District Youth Football League
