Following the launch of the North’s first dedicated artificial intelligence fund, fund:AI, we are pleased to introduce the advisory team whose significant expertise will help guide and assist the fund leadership team when assessing the credentials and potential of businesses as well as completing due diligence.

Claire Liddy MD of Innovation Alder Hey Hospital

Claire is an expert in health and life sciences technology and innovation, with more than 20 years in healthcare senior leadership roles. A qualified accountant with a commercial skillset, Claire has sat on various boards and expert groups and currently leads the UK’s most significant health-led innovation centre based at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool.

John Leake – Sci-Tech Daresbury Business Growth Director Sci-Tech Daresbury

John is a Business Growth Director for Sci-Tech Daresbury and previously led the establishment of the national science and innovation campus that is now home to a community of 150 science and technology companies, from start-ups to international corporates, including IBM and Hitachi. John brings significant board experience as Chair of the UK Science Park Association, where he has been a board member for over three years.

Richard Allmendinger Professor of Applied AI, Alliance Manchester Business School, The University of Manchester

Richard is a Professor of Applied AI, and School Business Engagement Lead at the Alliance Manchester Business School, The University of Manchester, and Fellow of the Alan Turing Institute. Richard has used his research expertise in the development and application of advanced AI algorithms to lead and contribute to numerous R&D projects with organisations in sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, investment, sports, music, and forensics.

John Lord Founder, TruNarrative

John is a Founder and Investor with experience in scaling to flotation and exiting to Trade Buyers. John was previously the founder and CEO of Leeds-based TruNarrative, which was acquired by LexisNexis in August 2021 and has deep knowledge of SaaS and DaaS with significant go-to-market expertise.
