River Capital were recognised as the Small Business of the Year at TheBusinessDesk.com’s North West Business of the Year Awards for 2023.
The award comes after a busy year for the organisation including a significant re-brand, re-locating to Grade 1 office space in the heart of Liverpool’s commercial district, the launch of three new funds and the onboarding of several new staff members.
Businesses were asked to supply an award submission outlining their case for the award that was followed by a judges visit and finally a final presentation by businesses who had been shortlisted for awards.
TheBusinessDesk.com’s North West editor, Michael Taylor, said: “A huge congratulations to all our winners and finalists.
“The highly rigorous judging process put all of those shortlisted through their paces and the judges faced really tough calls in not only choosing winners, but selecting who would make it onto the shortlist.
“Businesses had to commit to a process that has really showed the very best of the North West and how the economy is facing up to a huge number of challenges.
“The judges heard not only incredible stories of resilience and innovation, but also how the spirit of togetherness and fairness runs through so many businesses.”
The winners in each category topped an impressive shortlist for the awards, highlighting successful, innovative and growing companies from across the region.
The awards were led by TheBusinessDesk.com in partnership with CMS, LDC, PwC, RBC Brewin Dolphin, and Robert Walters and celebrate the achievements of businesses of all sizes. Gilbanks were an award category sponsor.
